We Invite You To Be Our Guest
When you attend our worship assemblies, know that you will be loved (Matthew 22:39) and we hope that our encouragement will be something you are looking for. We have been instructed by the words of Jesus to worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24) and therefore we ought to have the proper approach to worshipping God according to the New Testament (Philippians 3:17, John 17:17).
Singing
The unique pattern in the New Testament scriptures tells us to sing to one another, teaching and admonishing with psalms and hymns, making melody with our hearts, not harps (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16). The music in our worship service is “a cappella”, without the accompaniment of musical instruments as there is no authority in the New Testament for such use.
Prayer
The assembly is lead in prayer by several of the men. We pray to give God acclamations, confessing our sins, and thanking God for everything He supplies, both physical and spiritual, and asking for answers to prayer through supplication (1 Timothy 2:1, 8).
Giving
The Scriptures tell us that on the first day of each week we are to put aside and save as we may prosper (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). As our guest you are not expected to give when the tray is passed among us. Giving at this time is a scriptural responsibility of the members only.
Teaching
Our lessons and sermons are designed to edify each other and increase our knowledge of God’s word by giving us application for this present day. We teach that we must not merely be hearers of the word, but doers of it (James 1:22). We preach that we should accurately teach the Word of God with sound doctrine (2 Timothy 2:15, 3:2-5).
